Shiley Tracheostomy Tube, Cuffless, Extended Length (XLTUP)

The Shiley Tracheostomy Tube, Cuffless Extended Length (XLTUP) is a specialized airway management device engineered for patients requiring long-term tracheostomy care. The extended length design accommodates anatomical variations and provides optimal positioning for patients with specific airway configurations, ensuring secure placement and reliable function. The cuffless construction eliminates pressure-related complications associated with inflatable cuffs, reducing the risk of tracheal stenosis, granulation tissue formation, and mucosal damage during extended use. This design is particularly beneficial for patients requiring prolonged ventilatory support or those transitioning to spontaneous breathing while maintaining airway protection. Manufactured from biocompatible materials, the Shiley tube resists encrustation and maintains structural integrity, supporting patient comfort and reducing maintenance requirements. The extended length feature provides clinicians with greater flexibility in tube positioning, accommodating diverse patient needs and anatomical considerations. Ideal for intensive care units, long-term acute care facilities, and home healthcare settings, this tracheostomy tube represents a trusted solution for complex airway management. Shiley’s reputation for quality and innovation ensures healthcare providers can deliver optimal respiratory care with confidence and reliability.
